ingredients
- 450g potatoes
- 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
- 25g breadcrumbs
- 250g lean beef mince
- 1 egg
- 30g mature cheddar, sliced
- 2 tbsp mayonaise
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 burger buns
steps
- Preheat oven to 220C.
- Chop the potatoes to 2cm wedges with the skin on. Drizzle with olive oil and
season with salt and pepper. Spread them out in a single layer on a baking
tray and cook for 35 minutes, turning midway.
- Combine breadcrumbs, egg and mince beef with salt and pepper. Split the
mixture into 2 and make 2 balls, squash the balls to form burgers.
- Fry the burgers in oil for 15 mins. Turning them regularly. Turn the heat off
and add the cheese to the top and give it time to melt.
- Warm the burger buns in the oven for 3-4 minutes. When everything is ready,
add the mayonaise and burger to the toasted burger buns and serve with the
chips.

- Serve with a salad coated in red wine vinegar and olive oil.
